Sterling, IL – June 25, 2019 – Chartered on October 30, 1919 Sterling American Legion Post 296 Celebrates their Centennial Anniversary this year. The first of many public events occurs on Tuesday, June 25th. Please join Sterling American Legion on “A Historic Journey of Post 296”. Paul Ahrens will present the history of the Post with a program beginning at 6pm at 601 First Avenue in Sterling, IL. A reception will follow.
Other public events this summer include veteran open houses on July 20th and September 21st, the Annual Chicken BBQ and Silent Auction on August 5th and an inaugural Golf Outing September 7th.
