SUMMARY:Winter Clothing Drive
DESCRIPTION:Do you have a gently used winter coat you are no longer using? Please consider donating a new or gently used winter coat to House Minority Leader Tony McCombie’s November Coat Drive. Any winter gear like hats\, gloves\, or scarves\, will also be accepted; all sizes for winter coats and accessories will be accepted from infant to adult. \nThe leader has also created an online registry option for those constituents who would like to contribute a new winter clothing item directly; ACCESS THE REGISTRY HERE. \nThe winter items will be collected at Leader McCombie’s District Office in Savanna\, and then donated to the Regional Office of Education for distribution to area families. Leader McCombie is excited to launch this event and work together with residents in the 89th District to help those in need stay warm this winter!

SUMMARY:Canadian Pacific Holiday Train/ 25th Year
DESCRIPTION:The Canadian Pacific (CP) Holiday Train is returning to the rails for its 25th cross-continent season tour!!  The train will again raise money\, food and awareness for local food banks in communities along the CP network. \nHoliday Train shows are free to attend. CP asks attendees to bring a cash or non-perishable food donation if they’re able. Local food shelves will set up collection stations at each event\, with all donations made staying with the local food bank to help people in need in the community. \n\nByron\, Illinois on November 26\, 2023\n\nTrain Arrives: 11:45 a.m.\nEvent Time: 12:00 p.m. – 12:30 p.m.\nLocation: Tower Road near the High School\n\n\n\nA full schedule with details of this year’s Holiday Train and Holiday Express train can be found at cpkcr.com/holidaytrain.
