DESCRIPTION:A Memorial Day Ceremony will begin at 10:45 a.m.\, Monday\, May 30\, at Rock Island National Cemetery. There will be no parking at the cemetery for this ceremony except for individuals who are wheelchair bound. Parking for all others will be behind Memorial Park in the large lot. Buses will be transporting people from the parking lot to the cemetery and will run 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Visitors should arrive early to ensure enough time to park their vehicles and be transported to the cemetery. Memorial Park is located off of the main Island road\, Rodman Avenue at the corner of East Street. For more information\, call 309-782-2094.

DESCRIPTION:Mayfest will look a little different this year due to construction in the quad so all activities for Mayfest 2022 will be located at the North Lawn of Shimer Campus. The Beer/Wine Tent and stage will be on the Parking Lot across from the Ambulance Garage on the corner of Seminary and Jackson. The Food Tent will be smaller this year and will sit just South of the Beer Tent on the flat area flanked by trees where we’ve done Car Shows in the past. Vendors will line the sidewalks towards Dearborn and Metcalf Halls. The newly constructed Mayfest Stage on the Quad will be utilized with local acts and children activities but will face North towards the gates allowing people to sprawl on the lawn.
