“That’s one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind.”

54 years ago today, Astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first people to walk on the moon. National Moon Day, also known as the Space Exploration Day, is observed on July 20 every year to commemorate the anniversary of the United States’ first crewed mission to the moon, and the landing of astronauts on the moon on this day in1969.

Happy National Moon Day!
