A recent bill backed by State Representative Tony McCombie was signed into law. HB3206 calls for the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation to supplement all paper-based certificates and licenses (rather than certificates, licenses, and authorities) with a digitally verified electronic credential.
This new law is effective July 1, 2024.
