National Lineman Appreciation Day honors the hard work done by the men and women who keep the power on for all Americans. Linemen work around the clock, often in dangerous conditions, to keep our communities running.
House Minority Leader Tony McCombie is not only celebrating National Lineman Day, but also backed legislation in the Illinois House to recognize lineman, through the issuance of the Thank a Line Worker license plate decal. That measure was signed into law last summer.
“This recognition is important, to let residents know and understand just how essential linemen are to our everyday lives,” said McCombie. “Thank you to Linemen for all that you do!”
