House Minority Leader Tony McCombie spoke on the House Floor today about the Knight-Silas Act, which has come to light again after a recent incident in St. Clair County.
McCombie has worked since 2018 to pass the legislation, which would show greater support for DCFS workers–like Pam Knight and Dierdre Silas who were brutally killed while serving some of the state’s most vulnerable.
McCombie’s recent push for legislation to be passed comes with her newly filed bills: HB1550 and HB1551.
