In a recent news report, House Minority Leader Tony McCombie discussed the current Lame Duck session and the lack of progress.
“Lame duck is not the time to push through mine, or the House speaker’s, or the governor’s initiatives without having everybody at the table. That’s the problem,” said House GOP Leader Tony McCombie (R-Savanna). “Here, you’ve got the rule of 60 in the Democratic caucus. It’s one party one rule over and over again, decade after decade. You don’t have all of the parties together. So, you know what’s going to happen over the 104th General Assembly. We’re going to do a trailer bill and another trailer bill to clean up the crap that comes out this week.”
