Today in the Capitol, lawmakers are wearing sneakers to legislative session to raise awareness for cancer research and show support for the American Cancer Society. House Minority Leader Tony McCombie participated in the campaign, to help shed a light on the important work the American Cancer Society is doing to fund research and more.
“We all know someone who was touched by cancer and anything we can do to help spread the word and raise awareness–like ditching our heels for the day–is important. Cancer sucks and I am proud to do my part to find a cure,” said McCombie.
