SPRINGFIELD… State Representative Tony McCombie (IL-71st) today released the following response after attending the Budget Address given by Governor Rauner to a joint session of the General Assembly:
“I continue to be optimistic that the General Assembly can work together, compromise and pass a balanced budget. Only through a balanced budget can we ensure our schools have the funding they need to educate the next generation, the most vulnerable are able to access the care that they need, our transportation infrastructure is properly maintained, and our past due bills get paid,” said McCombie. “Today, I urge my colleagues to join me in working together to change the course of Illinois to move us forward instead of backward.”
