My office attended the Annual Women in Agriculture conference took place on March 16th in Rock Island sponsored by the Farm Bureau.
Over 200 women from the industry participated in the conference. Professionals from every facet of the agricultural were presented valuable and useful information regarding current concerns and progress in agriculture.
31% of American farmers today are women!
Agricultural production has increase 262% since 1950, while inputs have decreased by 2%. Farmers today are definitely producing more with less, resulting in the conservation of valuable resources and leaving a smaller carbon footprint in the process.
