First Army is celebrating their centennial this year and is looking for various events/opportunities to celebrate our 100 yrs of Service with our QCA friends and neighbors/public at large. The 74th Anniversary of D-Day is on 6 Jun and First Army led this magnificent operation that started to turn the tide in WW II.
Lt. General Twitty wants to celebrate our Centennial in a fun fashion with our Quad Citians and this outdoor movie, on the lawn with families, friends, and neighbors is a great opportunity for all of us to reflect on 100 Years of continued service to country and the QC area.
As such, we will be hosting a “FA Movie Night” on the lawn of Memorial Fld (by the Tank Displays) and premiere “The Longest Day.” Star-studded movie that depicts this feat of arms and determination to rid the world of tyranny!
