State Representative Tony McCombie was named “Outstanding Freshman Representative” by the Illinois Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday for her exemplary voting record in favor of job creation and retention during the 100th General Assembly.
“This is an immense honor to be the only public servant from either chamber recognized as a Freshman legislator,” said Rep. Tony McCombie. “I am very proud of my voting record in favor of job creation and retention.”
With a 100% score on pro-jobs bills, Rep. McCombie was named the Illinois Chamber’s Outstanding Freshman Representative. Additionally, 34 members of the Illinois House and 13 members of the Illinois Senate were awarded by the Chamber with their biennial “Champion of Free Enterprise” award, given in recognition of their support for voting to further economic opportunities for Illinoisans.
“While most Illinois lawmakers continue to provide lip service to the need for pro-growth reforms, Rep. Tony McCombie and these 47 lawmakers are committed to supporting and defending Illinois employers throughout the state,” said Todd Maisch, president and CEO, Illinois Chamber of Commerce.
