Garden Plain Road Closure West of Morison
The Illinois Department of Transportation announces that Garden Plain Road, approximately one-half mile west of Morrison, will be closed to all through traffic from Monday, September 10 through Friday, September 14, 2018.
The closure will allow the Union Pacific Railroad to make needed repairs to their at-grade crossing located in this area. Drivers are asked to be alert for the road closure and use alternate roadways when traveling in this area.
IL 78 (Cherry Street) Road Closure in Morrison
The Illinois Department of Transportation announces that IL 78 (Cherry Street) in Morrison, will be closed to all through traffic from Monday, September 17 through Friday, September 28, 2018. The closure will allow the Union Pacific Railroad (UP) to remove and replace the south crossing (Main 2) and perform other needed maintenance to their at-grade crossing located between Wall Street and Market Street.
To allow continued traffic movement, a detour will be marked on IL 78, Wall Street, Genesee Street, and US 30 for northbound traffic and US 30, Orange Street, Wall Street, and IL 78 for southbound traffic.
Drivers are asked to be alert for the road closure and use alternate roadways when traveling in this area.
Please reduce speed and use extreme caution while driving through all work zones.
