Rep. McCombie toured Tyson Processing Plant in Joslin on October 10. The over 2,500 employees at Joslin process beef at this plant and work hard to ensure food safety.
Fun fact– 60% of hides processed in Joslin are sent to a tannery in Chicago, exclusive to production of NFL footballs. Approximately 14 footballs are produced from each hide. Each NFL team orders 144 dozen footballs annually.
