The Illinois Department of Transportation announces today that weather permitting, construction work will begin on Monday, October 22, 2018, on the US 30 Gateway Bridge over the Mississippi River in Clinton, Iowa. Interstate Maintenance, Inc. will be utilizing daytime lane closures for the bridge washing which is anticipated to be completed by Friday, October 26, 2018.
Motorists should expect delays as the bridge will be reduced to one lane during the completion of the work. Please slow down and use extreme caution while driving through all work zones.
