State Representative Tony McCombie and State Senator Neil Anderson hosted local families at their free Children’s Health & Safety Expo on Saturday, September 14 at Glenview Middle School in East Moline.
The event featured several dozen state and local agencies, non-profit organizations and local businesses covering a wide range of educational, health, child care, recreational, and community services for families and children.
Special attractions included a variety of live demonstrations and the popular Touch-A-Truck exhibit, where children can get behind the wheel of their favorite vehicles, such as police cars and fire trucks, and ask questions to those who operate them.
Information was provided on topics such as car seat safety, after-school activities, nutrition, and more.
