The Firearms Services Bureau (FSB) urges those who have questions about their FOID card or Concealed Carry License (CCL) to use Illinois State Police website

The Firearms Services Bureau (FSB) urges those who have questions about their Firearm Owners Identification (FOID) card or Concealed Carry License (CCL) to use our website (www.ispfsb.com) or automated phone system for answers to commonly asked questions or status checks.

·         On the web: Users who want to check the status of their FOID card or CCL can go to https://www.ispfsb.com/Public/Login.aspx. If users don’t have a login, they can register for an account. Once a login is established, users can check their status, request a name or address change or report a stolen, damaged or lost card and/or order a replacement card. This platform does NOT support access by a phone or a tablet at this time.

·         By phone:  Self-service paper renewal applications and Self-service status check options are now available through our automated phone system by calling the Firearms Services Bureau Customer Service Department at 217-782-7980. Callers can check the status of their existing FOID cards and CCLs OR check the status of an address change, replacement application, renewal or new application without talking to a live agent by just following the voice prompts.

As a reminder, FOID card holders and CCL holders, who submit their renewal application will remain valid during the duration of the state’s disaster proclamation and for a period of 12 months following the termination of the disaster, even if their renewal application is/was not submitted prior to expiration.

The agency has limited the number of FSB staff reporting to work in an effort to facilitate social distancing to protect our community and employees during the COVID-19 global pandemic.  FSB is working diligently to respond to calls and inquiries as efficiently as possible.  Thank you for your patience as we work to respond in as timely a manner as this emergency situation allows.
