I’m happy to share that Google and the Illinois Department of Veterans’ Affairs are partnering to launch virtual resume and career counseling workshops for veterans, led by Google volunteers!
The virtual 1:1 resume workshops are open to any veterans, military spouses, and transitioning service members interested in reviewing their resume, conducting an informational chat, or discussing their career transition. Google has been hosting in-person veteran resume workshops for 10+ years across the country and in our Chicago office. Google volunteers have been trained to offer insightful advice to help veterans utilize their backgrounds and transition to new careers. To adapt to the COVID-19 crisis, we’re offering the service 100% virtually for the first time.
Veterans, military spouses and transitioning service members who are interested in the program can sign up on the Illinois Department of Veterans’ Affairs website or grow.google/veterans by June 5, 2020. Selected participants will be introduced to a Google partner, who will coordinate a time and date to connect for a 30-minute virtual session.
