The Illinois Department of Transportation announces today that weather permitting, resurfacing of US 30 from Jackson Street to French Creek in Morrison will begin on Monday, June 14, 2021.
Daily lane closures with flaggers will be utilized throughout the project. Access to residences and businesses within the work zone will be maintained throughout the construction. Martin & Company Excavating of Oregon is the contractor of the $438,324 project, which is expected to be completed by July 30.
Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. To avoid the work area, when feasible, use of alternate routes should be considered. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to changed conditions and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits, refrain from using mobile devices and be alert for workers and equipment.
