The Illinois Department of Agriculture (IDOA) is hosting a free agrichemical container recycling program and encouraging farmers and agrichemical facilities to participate! The program has dates available throughout the summer—with a few options available in Rep. McCombie’s 89th District:
DeKalb County
9:00-11:00am on July 20th at Effingham Equity, Montrose
Winnebago County
1:00-3:00pm on August 2nd at Helena Chemical Co., Toluca
Stephenson County
9:00—11:00am on August 7th at Pearl City Elevator, Dakota
Carroll County
1:00-3:00Pm on Agusust 7th at Carroll Service Co., Milledgeville
The collection sites will accept only high-density polyethylene, #2 plastic agrichemical containers that are clean and dry. Participants are responsible for rinsing containers and removing all caps, valves, metal, labels, booklets, and foil seals.
