Independence day commemorates the day that our nation was born, the day that commemorates the Declaration of Independence, which was ratified by the Second Continental Congress on July 4, 1776, thereby establishing the United States of America.
This federal holiday is often celebrated with family, friends, fun and fireworks all to honor our country’s independence. We can cherish freedom and pay tribute to the brave men and women who continue to protect that freedom. State Representative Tony McCombie wishes everyone a very safe and Happy 4th of July!
