The federal bribery trial of former Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan has been delayed to October. The former Speaker was indicted nearly two years ago and faces federal racketeering and bribery charges.
House Minority Leader Tony McCombie issued the following response to the news that former Speaker Mike Madigan’s corruption trial will be delayed until the fall:
“It is disappointing to wait for justice to be served to Mike Madigan and his corrupt associates. Speaker Welch and Democratic leaders: Pass ethics reform now.”
