Today is Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, a day dedicated to honoring the legacy of Dr. King’s nonviolent campaign to end racial discrimination in state and federal law. This is a federal holiday and is always observed on the third Monday of January. It forever serves as a time to reflect, act, and honor the enduring legacy of a dedicated leader who served his life in pursuit of justice and equality.
Today, House Minority Leader Tony McCombie is encouraging everyone to remember the words and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and continue to stand for a better world for all.
