What is the coolest thing made in Illinois? The Illinois Manufacturers’ Association aims to find out during the fifth annual Makers Madness competition. The annual competition launched this week and relies on residents voting for their favorite product through a bracket-style tournament.
Manufacturing contributes over $50 billion to the state’s economy per year in addition to supporting a third of all jobs in Illinois. This competition is a special way to honor manufacturers across the state–and celebrate really cool products produced right here in Illinois!
Makers Madness will accept nominations until March 3 at 11:59 PM. Public voting will start on March 5 to determine the Top 16 products, followed by weekly elimination rounds through voting.
