Mark your calendars for an exciting upcoming feature on PBS!
Tenderloin Farms Lavender will be featured on a PBS special on April 15. If you are watching from Southern Illinois, it can be found on channel 9 at 7:00 p.m. on the “Living St. Louis” segment.
Tenderloin Farms was originally named as a large farrow-to-finish hog farm, but now grows about 300 acres of corn and soybeans, and the farm’s lavender attracts visitors from across the state!
The Tenderloin Farms name remained as a tribute to the family and their storied history, even now as it is in its fifth generation under female ownership! Today, sisters Kim Hansen and Kris Straub run the operation.
“Any opportunity I have to promote great things happening in the agriculture industry is one I will not miss,” said Leader McCombie. “Women in Illinois Agriculture do not often get the publicity they deserve, and this is a great spotlight—something I think you may want to check out.”
