Flag Day celebrates the official adoption of the United States flag on June 14th, 1777. Communities across the country celebrate this important day by honoring the stars and stripes!
House Minority Leader Tony McCombie helped honor Flag Day at a special ceremony in Mount Morris today.
“On this Flag Day, let us also acknowledge the importance of educating the next generation about the values our flag represents,” said McCombie. “It is through education and awareness that we can ensure the legacy of our flag is passed onto future generations. By teaching our children about the history and significance of our flag, we instill in them a sense of pride and responsibility to uphold the principles that define our nation.”
