Photos: This Week in Illinois

This week House Minority Leader Tony McCombie spent time in Southern Illinois; she spent time with various caucus members including State Representatives Patrick Windhorst, David Friess, and Paul Jacobs. Check out her time well spent this week:

Leader McCombie did a radio interview with Tom Miller at WJPF! ICYMI, check out their conversation here: Newsradio WJPF interview with Tony McCombie | September 9, 2024 | Newsradio WJPF.

Leader McCombie met with the Mayor of Marion, Mike Absher, and then went to the Mountain Dew Park (left picture) to meet with the Illinois Realtors Association.

Leader McCombie is pictured above with State Representative Patrick Windhorst at a town hall event with the Illinois Association of Realtors. The two lawmakers gave a legislative update, listened to industry concerns, and answered questions on what’s happening in Springfield.

Next up was the Paul Simon Institute, a nonpartisan nonprofit organization focused on promoting better politics and smarter government and preparing students for careers in public service. The institute was named after Paul Simon, a two-term U.S. Senator from Illinois (1985-1997) and a candidate for the Democratic Party nomination for the 1988 United States presidential election. He created the institute to research and provide constructive public policy resources, encourage others to take part in conversations on the issues of our time, and support the next generation of public leaders.

Leader McCombie was honored to speak at the Institute; it was a great crowd of students, faculty, and interested residents!

To round out the week, Leader McCombie visited Custom Aluminum Products in Genoa. The Leader met with Steve Dillett, the CEO of Custom Aluminum Products and took a tour of the facility.
