Illinois House Minority Leader Tony McCombie and State Representative Amy Grant are organizing an event in collaboration with the Illinois Tollway to assist motorists in updating their I-PASS technology. The initiative aims to transition users from plastic transponders to new sticker technology.
The event is scheduled for Tuesday, October 15th, at Leader McCombie’s Naperville Office. Representatives from the Illinois Tollway will be available to guide attendees through the process of switching to the new stickers, ensuring that there is no disruption to their I-PASS account activity. Additionally, tollway officials will address questions related to I-PASS accounts and ‘Pay by Plate’ issues. The details for the I-PASS On Demand Event are as follows:
– Date: Tuesday, October 15
– Time: 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM
– Location: 1548 Bond Street, Naperville, IL
Once activated, these sticker tags can be used on both the Illinois tollway and E-Z Pass roadways in other states within 24 hours. The transition does not require a deposit for the sticker. Moreover, any $10 transponder deposit previously paid will transfer to the new account upon activation. With questions, contact House Minority Leader Tony McCombie’s office at 815-291-8989.
