House Minority Leader Tony McCombie recently held a successful event for Illinois residents to update their I-Pass technology. The Leader hosted the I-Pass on Demand event alongside State Representative Amy Grant and the Illinois Tollway to facilitate the transition to the new I-PASS Sticker Tags that are replacing plastic transponders: the event ensured people could make the switch without disruption to their IPASS account activity.
In case you missed this week’s event, I-PASS Sticker Tags can be picked up at Illinois Tollway Customer Service Centers starting January 26 and will be available beginning in early February through online orders via the Illinois Tollway website , a Jewel-Osco, or Road Ranger retail locations.
According to the Illinois Tollway, the introduction of I-PASS Sticker Tags is being done in collaboration with other E-Z Pass agencies and will ensure that customers have continuity in service wherever they travel in the 19 states that are part of the E-Z Pass consortium.
House Minority Leader Tony McCombie wants to ensure constituents that they are NOT required to switch to the I-PASS Sticker Tag as long as they have a working transponder! With questions, feel free to reach out to Leader McCombie’s office at 815-291-8989.
