Leader McCombie Welcomes New Lawmakers to the Capitol

Today House Minority Leader Tony McCombie welcomed new lawmakers to the Capitol. A special bipartisan orientation was planned for all the new lawmakers recently elected to join the 104th General Assembly. The Leader gave introductory remarks, words of encouragement, and welcomed them to Springfield!

“No matter what caucus you are a part of: our job is to represent our constituents, residents, and families across our state, and I believe we can do that best by working together,” said Leader McCombie.

“The best policies are bipartisan–while Democrats and Republicans often have differing ideas on how we can and should get to the finish line, the discussions in between matter the most.”

The new General Assembly will begin early next year, the exact time and date is yet to be determined.
