The 32nd annual Illinois Fallen Firefighter Memorial & Firefighting Medal of Honor Awards Ceremony took place in Springfield today. House Minority Leader Tony McCombie attended the event and expressed her gratitude for those who work extremely hard to protect Illinoisans and her respect for those who have fallen while serving.
“I am forever grateful to firefighters – and firefighting families – for their selflessness and dedication to public safety,” said McCombie. “We are fortunate to have some of the best protecting us throughout Illinois! My heart goes out to Aurora Fire Department’s own firefighter, Christian Medrano, and his family who was honored today.”
