House Republican Leader Tony McCombie spoke at the Illinois Gun Owner Lobby Day (IGOLD) to show support for law-abiding gun owners. Leader McCombie thanked the advocates for rallying at the Capitol to defend their Second Amendment Rights:
“Poor policy decisions have put us in the position we’re in today,” said McCombie. “Every day, our caucus defends law abiding gun owners: because the second amendment is not second class to any other right.
“It is all too easy for Democrats to neglect us, to infringe in our rights. But we are here today to stand with you, to fight with you, and to show them: that rightful gun owners have a voice in this state.”
