The annual free Senior Health Fair hosted by House Minority Leader Tony McCombie (R-Savanna), Senate Minority Deputy Leader Sue Rezin (R-Morris), State Senators Dave Syverson (R-Cherry Valley) and Li Arellano, Jr. (R-Dixon), and State Representatives Jeff Keicher (R-Sycamore) and Bradley Fritts (R-Dixon) is returning to DeKalb High School on July 14.
“As lawmakers, we have a profound responsibility to care for and uplift the most vulnerable members of our communities, which includes our senior citizens, who have spent their lives contributing to the strength and wellbeing of our state,” said Rep. McCombie. “This event will help ensure seniors are not only protected but also fully informed about the resources and services available to them. By increasing awareness and access, we can help our seniors live well.”
The Senior Health Fair will take place on Monday, July 14, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the cafeteria of DeKalb High School, located at 501 West Dresser Road, DeKalb, IL 60115. Dozens of local and state organizations will be on hand to discuss programs and services available for seniors.
The Fair will feature free admission, free refreshments and free screenings.
In addition to information about how to lead a healthier lifestyle, vaccinations and blood pressure checks will also be available to attendees.
The legislators and staff will also be on hand to speak with constituents and assist with other questions or concerns related to the state of Illinois.
