Illinois House Minority Leader Tony McCombie is proud to congratulate Warren Elementary School on being recognized as a Blue Ribbon School, a symbol of excellence in education.
For more than 40 years, the National Blue Ribbon Schools Program has celebrated schools that go above and beyond to help students reach their highest potential. It shines a spotlight on the incredible work of principals, teachers, support staff, and students who set the bar high and make their communities proud.
This year, Warren Elementary joins a distinguished group of schools across Illinois and the nation that have earned this well-deserved honor—an achievement that reflects the dedication of the entire Warren community.
Although the federal program has concluded, Illinois will continue the tradition of honoring schools that demonstrate exceptional leadership, innovation, and achievement. The spirit of the Blue Ribbon will live on through state recognition that celebrates schools like Warren Elementary for their ongoing pursuit of excellence.
Leader McCombie will recognize Warren Elementary School in Springfield during the upcoming Veto Session, celebrating the students, staff, and families who made this remarkable accomplishment possible.
“The Blue Ribbon distinction represents the very best of what our schools can achieve,” said Leader McCombie. “Warren Elementary’s success is a reflection of its educators’ dedication, its students’ hard work, and its community’s unwavering support. I couldn’t be prouder to see this Northwest Illinois school recognized among the top in our state.”
Warren joins Hiawatha Elementary School in Kirkland in the Illinois House Minority Leader’s District who has also received Blue Ribbon designation.
