House Minority Leader Attends Illinois Farm Bureau Annual Meeting

House Minority Leader Tony McCombie joined farmers, industry stakeholders, and colleagues from the Illinois House Republican Caucus at the Illinois Farm Bureau’s Annual Meeting. The multi-day conference brought together agricultural leaders from across the state to discuss current challenges, explore new opportunities, and outline policies that will strengthen Illinois’ agricultural future.

Throughout the event, McCombie and fellow lawmakers met with Farm Bureau members, participated in policy discussions, and emphasized their shared commitment to advocating for Illinois’ farm families. Topics ranged from land use and environmental stewardship to regulatory reform and support for the next generation of farmers.

In her work in the legislature, Leader McCombie continues to highlight the essential role agriculture plays in Illinois’ economy and communities. She expressed appreciation for the opportunity to collaborate directly with those who grow and produce the state’s food supply.

“It’s always a privilege to stand alongside our farmers and listen to their priorities firsthand,” McCombie said. “Their work is the backbone of our state, and I’m committed to ensuring their voices are represented in Springfield.”

McCombie looks forward to continuing to work with the Farm Bureau and advocating for policies that help Illinois agriculture thrive.
