Illinois residents now have free access to a wide range of digital library resources through the Secretary of State’s new Illinois Reliable Information Sources (IRIS) program.
The statewide initiative provides access to e-books, research databases, educational materials, career development tools, health information, business resources, test preparation materials, and more—all at no cost through local libraries or the Illinois State Library.
Available resources include:
- Pre-K–12 educational content
- Academic research databases
- Health and wellness information
- Business and entrepreneurship tools
- Career readiness and workforce development resources
- Test preparation and certification materials
- Automotive repair manuals
- Reference e-books
- More than 260,000 fiction and nonfiction titles
