McCombie Honors America 250 Essay Contest Winner

Illinois House Minority Leader Tony McCombie is proud to announce the winner of the “America 250 Essay Contest,” as Logan Boehle from Byron.

Leader McCombie launched the essay contest to build excitement for the upcoming America 250 celebration, inviting students in grades 6–12 across the 89th District to reflect on America’s history through their writing.

The winning essay highlighted the history of Byron and recognized the contributions that Illinois has made throughout American history.

 “I want to congratulate Logan Boehle on an outstanding essay that thoughtfully captured both the rich history of Byron and Illinois’ contributions to our nation,” said McCombie. “As we prepare to celebrate America’s 250th birthday, it’s inspiring to see young people like Logan take pride in their communities and appreciate how local history connects to our country’s story. His essay is a wonderful reminder that the next generation will help preserve and share America’s legacy for years to come.”
