Today is International Anti-Corruption Day. Following the ComEd Four Trials and indictment of former House Speaker Michael Madigan, this day is more important than ever. We have had one too many reminders of how corruption runs rampant in Illinois, which is why House Republicans won’t stop fighting for comprehensive ethics reform.
House Minority Leader Tony McCombie has urged bills to be called forward in the Illinois House to close existing loopholes in current law, ones that will help instill public trust back in our government. For McCombie, a great way to honor this day would be to pass sweeping ethics reform in the Illinois General Assembly!
