Leader McCombie visited Prairie State Winery in Genoa. They have been open since 1998 and have won several awards, including 3 Best of Shows, 4 Governor’s Cups, and numerous Best of Class and Gold Medals.
Leader McCombie also had time to stop at the Village Bakery in Oregon. Their goal is “baking a difference” in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities. While they offer wonderful, fresh baked goods, they employ men and women with developmental disabilities. They strive to create meaningful, community based work for them, and “to instill our men and women with the confidence to work in front of the public and competence to do it well!”
The Leader also made time to stop at Northern Illinois University–alongside State Rep. Jeff Keicher!
Leader McCombie visited the Winnebago Landfill Company alongside State Senator Andrew Chesney.
State Rep. Jeff Keicher welcomed Leader McCombie to the Dekalb County Convention and Visitors Bureau! They met with the CVB Executive and Marketing Directors to learn more about the office.
