The Illinois Energy Association brought the state’s utilities to the Capitol to showcase some of their exciting equipment and technologies. House Minority Leader McCombie joined her Deputy Leader Norine Hammond to view some of the equipment!
Leader McCombie took action on the House Floor; with only a few more weeks of legislative session left, there is a lot to accomplish yet in the Illinois House.
Leader McCombie presented a bill in the Counties and Townships Illinois House Committee where it passed unanimously.

DNR stopped by Leader McCombie’s Capitol office with their new cadet class to meet her and discuss legislation.
The Illinois Association of Park Districts came to town! There were countless park districts from across the state in the Capitol for their advocacy day.
This week brought many visitors to the State Capitol; Leader McCombie was happy to meet with a variety of groups including members of ICASA, American Lung Association, Marengo Mayor John Kosiol, Nucor Steel, University of Illinois Extension…and many more!
Leader McCombie also attended the Edgar Fellows Reception this week. She is pictured below with Senate Republican Leader John Curran and former Illinois Governor Jim Edgar. McCombie is a member of the 2019 Class of Edgar Fellows and last year was featured as a guest speaker to the 2023 fellow’s class. The seminar like program is spearheaded by former Governor Edgar and is designed to foster bipartisan and cross-regional cooperation as class participants assume more influential public leadership roles.
