House Minority Leader McCombie passed legislation in 2022 to make August 1st the official Sweet Corn Appreciation Day in Illinois. Today is the day to celebrate a love of sweetcorn and it’s importance to Illinois…and residents throughout.
For the last three years Leader McCombie has hosted a special event to celebrate Sweet Corn Day at her district office: it’s a day filled with family fun, sweet corn, and more! “There is so much to love about sweet corn and the best way to enjoy it is alongside family and friends,” said McCombie.
The annual event continues to grow each year, and this year is expected to be no different. If you are in the area, be sure to stop by and eat some Sweet Corn!
