House Minority Leader McCombie passed legislation in 2022 to make August 1st the official Sweet Corn Appreciation Day in Illinois. As the summer ramps up, Leader McCombie is encouraging area residents to save the date for the annual celebration!
For the last four years Leader McCombie has hosted a special event to celebrate Sweet Corn Day at her district office: it’s a day filled with family fun, sweet corn, and more! This year’s event is expected to be just as grand, and McCombie is making sure northwest Illinois knows August 1st is Sweet Corn Day!
