Illinois House Minority Leader Tony McCombie recently had the opportunity to visit Elgin Community College for an update with College President Dr. Peggy Heinrich, along with several of ECC’s key leaders who play an essential role in the institution’s growth and direction.
ECC is currently in the midst of constructing a state-of-the-art Manufacturing and Technology Center—an exciting expansion that will further strengthen programs in the skilled trades and support continued workforce development in our region.
This is the Leader’s second visit to the college, and each update brings positive news on the direction of college as well as student success.
“I’m looking forward to returning in the next few months to see the Manufacturing and Technology Center’s progress firsthand and take a tour of the new facility,” said McCombie. “Investing in modern training facilities is essential to preparing students for the high-demand careers of tomorrow.”
