The event recognized outstanding individuals and businesses while highlighting key projects and development efforts shaping Freeport’s future. Executive Director Andrea Schultz Winter also shared updates on the Partnership’s 2025 achievements and ongoing work to strengthen the community.

The Greater Freeport Partnership also recognized ten outstanding businesses and individuals for their leadership, service, and economic impact in Stephenson County. Honors ranged from the LeBaron Lifetime Achievement Award, presented to Larry Feiner for a lifetime of community dedication, to awards celebrating business excellence, entrepreneurship, manufacturing, tourism, volunteerism, and nonprofit service.

The Manufacturer of the Year award was given to CoreFX Ingredients, which is in Leader McCombie’s 89th District. In addition, the Not-for-Profit of the Year, Senior Resource Center, also serves Stephenson and Jo Daviess counties which cover portions of the Leader’s legislative district.

The award recipients reflect the Partnership’s mission to foster economic growth, strengthen local businesses, and build a thriving, inclusive community across Freeport and Stephenson County.
