Illinois House Wears Red: Supporting Women’s Heart Health

Today in the Illinois House of Representatives, members wore red in recognition of Wear Red Day to help raise awareness about women’s heart health.

Heart disease remains one of the leading health risks facing women, and Wear Red Day serves as an important reminder that awareness, prevention, and early detection can save lives. By coming together in red, lawmakers helped shine a light on an issue that impacts families and communities across Illinois.

“Together, we are raising awareness, supporting prevention, and reminding women to prioritize their heart health every day,” said House Minority Leader Tony McCombie.
