After a measure was passed in the Illinois House to regulate electronic bikes in Illinois through SB3336, House Minority Leader issued the following statement after opposing the bill:
“The Secretary of State’s push for e-bike regulation under the guise of safety disregards the many concerns of utility terrain vehicles (UTV) owners to protect roads and users.
“Unfortunately, the measure passed today falls short and negates current law for driving under the influence. The Secretary of State’s effort to pass hasty regulation is a failure.”
