✨ Experience the Perseid meteor shower from atop Horseshoe Mound Preserve, one of the highest points in Jo Daviess County. This special evening offers breathtaking nighttime views of the tri-state area and is the only time each year the preserve is open to the public after dark.
🔭 Guests of all ages can enjoy family-friendly activities, a presentation by an expert astronomer, and opportunities to observe planets, stars, and other celestial objects through telescopes provided by local amateur astronomers. Have a telescope? Bring it along!
💵 A suggested donation of $10 per person or $25 per family is appreciated. No RSVP is required. This event is weather dependent, so check for updates if rain is expected.
