Rep. McCombie to Host Free Shred and Donation Event with the Rock Falls Chamber of Commerce, the City of Rock Falls, and Goodwill
Rock Falls – State Representative Tony McCombie is partnering with the Rock Falls Chamber of Commerce, the City of Rock Falls, and Goodwill to host a FREE community ‘shred and donation event’ on Saturday August 10, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at 603 W. 10th Street in the City of Rock Falls Police parking lot.
“The ‘shred and donation event’ is a great way for people to destroy old documents containing personal information to help keep their identities safe. Goodwill will also be on site to accept donations of lightly used items,” said Rep. McCombie. “Thank you to the Rock Falls Chamber, Mayor Wescott, and Goodwill for partnering with us.”
Two containers of shreddable documents will be accepted from each vehicle. Residents simply need to drive up and let the volunteers unload the documents that will be fed into a large document shredding truck. Please remove binder clips from items to be shredded.
