Monday, March 2

On the way to Springfield on Monday, Rep. McCombie stopped and read to our future leaders at Tampico Elementary! Monday was National Read Across America Day.

Wednesday, March 4

SHAPE UP ILLINOIS DAY! Rep. McCombie met with a future PE Teacher who was in Springfield advocating on behalf of keeping Physical Education Requirements. PE programs foster strong academics, healthy habits and social emotional learning.

Friday, March 6

Met with future woman leaders today through The Girl Initiative Program administered by the YWCA to help young girls learn leadership skills and hear from woman leaders from within the community.
Rep. McCombie presented McComBEE BUZZ awards to Bryce and Jackson Verhulst from East Coloma School.

Sunday, March 8

Rep. McCombie got a visit from Thicksten’s Popcorn in Prophetstown. Thicksten’s Popcorn is family owned and operated since 1900. Thicksten’s Popcorn is incredibly tasty and represents the Illinois State Snack famously!
